Adirondack Research is testing trap designs for United States Department of Agriculture in New York state. Through our efforts, we are working to optimize beetle attraction and monitoring beyond the current infestation zone for this forest pest. This work includes project management of NYS trapping in the Adirondack Region as well as Buprestid identification to the species level.
The emerald ash borer is capable of highly efficient dispersal and quick destruction to Ash Trees and local forest habitats.
