Janelle HohEzra Schwartzberg
With a diverse environmental background, Janelle has been an active member of the environmental community in the Adirondacks since 2011. In 2016, she started with Adirondack Research as an intern and returned to lead the Aquatic Invasive Species Early Detection Team in 2018. Janelle has performed invasive species risk assessments, led workshops focused on identifying aquatic plants, and has spent summers working to promote responsible stewardship of Adirondack waterways. In her current role as Project Manager, Janelle will be identifying and coordinating future projects for Adirondack Research, as well as assisting Green Goat Maps expand to new areas across the Adirondack Park and beyond.
Janelle holds a master’s degree in environmental studies and has dedicated her academic career to studying people’s relationships to the land and water. When not at work or home writing, Janelle can be found hiking throughout the Adirondacks or exploring backcountry ponds.
