Monitoring Climate Change in the Adirondacks

Monitoring Climate Change in the Adirondacks

Portfolio Description

We are helping to develop a biological monitoring program tailored to Intervale Lowlands Preserve in Lake Placid, NY. The monitoring program is being designed to identify ways to help habitat and species adapt to the likely impacts from climate change.  We are also developing Intervale Lowlands Preserve into a climate research site with a focus on phenology. This project stemmed from a need to understand the effects of a warming climate on our unique Adirondack ecosystems. Visit the Intervale Lowlands website for more information.
