Clara grew up in Webster, NY, and began pursuing her interest in aquatic ecosystems when studying Fisheries and Wildlife at Finger Lakes Community College. She discovered Paul Smith’s College and decided to later transfer to complete her degree where she graduated in 2019. During her time at Paul Smith’s College, she was able to begin learning about aquatic plants with her time spent working as a Watershed Steward with the Adirondack Watershed Institute. After graduating, Clara spent a year in the Midwest focusing on larval fish ecology in the Great Lakes but has since returned to the Adirondacks due to her fondness for the region and desire to continue her career working in environments in the Northeast. Clara brings research writing and data analysis skills as well as aquatic research experience to the team.
