Ingrid Miller

Bowdoin College Intern

Ingrid is a rising junior at Bowdoin College majoring in Math and Earth and Oceanographic Science and minoring in Visual Arts. When she's not in school you can find Ingrid outside enjoying a wide variety of activities including skiing, climbing, mountain biking, slacklining and reading in her hammock.

Ingrid participated in a range of tasks during her internship with Adirondack Research and Green Goat Maps. She surveyed with the aquatic invasive species early detection team and learned about the management and organization needed to have a successful field season. Ingrid also did research on and wrote some of the interpretive content for the ARTA brochure and map and our Green Goat Maps Acadia Map. Over the summer she continued to develop her science communication skills through running our instagram accounts and contributing to our blog. She also ran our Green Goat Maps booth at the farmers market in Saranac Lake. Additionally, Ingrid helped to compile images and descriptions of our maps for our website and vendors and helped to keep our websites updated with current projects.
