Olivia worked on a variety of cartography and graphic design projects this summer during her internship with Adirondack Research. She did research on accessible design and created a style guide to be used by Adirondack Research during the design process of future maps, kiosks, and wayside signs. For Green Goat Maps, Olivia created standardized files compiling the symbology and text formatting we use to increase the efficiency of map making. She developed her science communication skills by researching and writing content for the ARTA brochure and contributing to our blog. Olivia also utilized MAPublisher to create base maps for our Capital Region Reports and created a standardized template for our general lakes reports.
