As an outdoor educator, Sydney brings multi-disciplinary skills to the team. She is an experienced canoeist and has paddled the full length of the 740-mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail. To add to Sydney’s paddling resume, she has packrafted remote backcountry ponds and conducted surveys for aquatic invasive species as a part of her master’s thesis to complete her degree in Expeditionary Studies from SUNY Plattsburgh. Sydney has continued to expand her ecological efforts by serving as a regional supervisor for the Aquatic Watershed Institute in the summer of 2018. Sydney looks forward to furthering her involvement with aquatic invasive species this summer with Adirondack Research.
