Dr. Margaret Murphy
Margaret is a certified fisheries biologist with more than 20 years of experience in aquatic ecology and fisheries biology. She has degrees from Siena College and State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Margaret’s expertise includes developing and implementing biological monitoring programs, habitat assessments and restoration plans, and fisheries assessments within lakes, rivers, and streams. She also conducts fisheries research, with a focus on coldwater fisheries and climate change. She currently has three graduate students working on Atlantic salmon restoration in Lake Ontario tributaries and brook trout populations in the Ausable River watershed.
