We are partnering with Microsoft to use sonar-based technology and cloud computing to better understand and guide our invasive species early detection efforts in Adirondack lakes. These tools will be available for use to organizations in New York as well as nationally.
By using the sonar-collected geospatial lake attributes we have already compiled and utilizing machine learning, we can create aquatic invasive species vulnerability models which grow and become more accurate over time. This will assist in our mission of early detection and rapid response.
