Ironman Athlete Map and Conduct Guide

Ironman Athlete Map and Conduct Guide

Portfolio Description

We were contracted by IRONMAN to create an Athlete Conduct Map and Guide for the 2022 IRONMAN. IRONMAN’s goal for this project is to help athletes discover and explore a variety of communities along the cycling route and to educate them on safe practices on the roads. This is part of an effort to respond to the concerns about the IRONMAN from the local community and to continue to expand the benefits that the event brings. The map will be distributed by the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) to hotels and various other storefronts in the communities surrounding Lake Placid

The map hopes to address the community’s concerns about a lack of respect for community members, rules of the road, and personal property. To accomplish this it includes the athlete code of conduct, emergency resources, laws, course maps and other recommended training routes. The map hopes to expand the economic benefits that the IRONMAN can bring to the communities surrounding Lake Placid. It includes descriptions of the communities in Lake Placid, Wilmington, Saranac Lake, Jay and Upper Jay, and Keene.
